Manual All that counts.
1 Introduction
This manual explains the operation of the web application Meter Reader Light (MRL). The web
application is launched with an Internet browser and includes a meter list with all the meter data that is
necessary for a reading.
The following chapters cover the processes for importing meter lists, processing meter data and
exchanging data with a mobile device.
1.1 General
We recommend the use of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to ensure functionality.
The access data for the web portal will be communicated to the user by ZENNER International GmbH &
Co. KG (referred to in the following as ZENNER) by e-mail following purchase of a licence.
1.2 Concept for mobile meter reading
First the customer and meter data is imported to the web application with all the information that is
necessary for the recording.
This data is then transferred to an Android device via WLAN or mobile communications.
The meter readers record all the necessary meter data on site using the mobile device.
Synchronisation then takes place again between the mobile device and the web server. The reader data
that is now on the service can be exported for other purposes.
2 Starting the web portal
Start the Internet browser and enter the URL that ZENNER communicates with you into the address line:
URL: https:/zri.derago.com/ZRI/[name]/dMM/index. html
An authentication window will appear:

Enter your access data and click on ‘OK’.
You will be taken to the homepage:

The homepage is divided into three areas:
‘Search and sort’: Displays the meter list, search and sort function
‘Customer and counter information”: Displays the customer and meter information
‘Counters’: Displays the reading (value read) and the consumption
3 Importing customer and meter data
3.1 Creating the import file
It is possible to import customer and meter data into the portal using a csv file.
This csv file can be created with a text file creation programme (e.g. Notepad++, Wordpad, Text Editor) or
Microsoft Excel.
The following fields can be included:

0.623.14 = status smoke detector (Test button failure)
0.623.15 = status smoke detector (Acoustic alarm failure)
0.623.16 = status smoke detector (Removal detection)
The file can contain all the fields or just some of the fields.
The following fields should be included as a minimum: ort; strasse; hausnr; znr*; eart*; aart*;
zw1typ*; anzzw*; x_zw1einheit
Fields marked with “*” are mandatory fields and must be included in the import file.
All further fields can also be added to the web portal at a later date. However they are not absolutely
necessary for wireless reading.
The field names must be given in the first line and the data are then given on the following lines.
Examples:

All the information on the customer, meter, reading module, measuring point is stored in the meter data
area plus some additional information.
The location of the measuring point is described in the ‘customer information’ area. Entry of the e-mail
address at this point is simultaneously a possible means of communication.
The ‘meter information’ then specifies what is to be read, i.e. the meter type and energy type, any
stored material numbers, meter numbers and the number of registers. The required reading protocol is
also stored at this point with any necessary transform ratio.
The ‘data reading modules’ then determine which radio module number(s) need to be addressed, if it is
a radio meter, in order to reach the meter.
Caution: For OMS (wireless M-bus) meters the radio meter number (Funk-ZNr.) must correspond to the
water meter number as this is transmitted as standard as the radio address. Radio modules of
telegram type C are an exception.
Different tours and walking routes can also be stored in the section ‘others’, e.g. for special or
emergency readings.
The unique metering point, its name and the municipal utility ID are entered under ‘measuring point’.
