Application description
CMeX50 receives up to 800 wireless MBus meters and drives up to 32 wired MBus meters. It works in all the common wireless modes: T1, C1 and S1. It presents the wireless meters as if they were ordinary wired MBus slaves, so they can be read with standard MBus commands over RS232, USB or the MBus 2 wire interface. This makes it usable in any standard MBus system, with no knowledge of wireless MBus needed.
It can be combined with Elvaco CMe and CMeX products to add GSM or GPRS, TCP/IP, MBus master extension and more. Typical uses:
- Radio networks in villa areas
- Radio networks in tenant owners associations
- Reading any type of wired MBus meter
- Reading any wireless MBus meter that supports T1, C1 or S1
