The drivers must be installed on the computer before the CMa30 is used for the first time. The CMa30 then appears as a COM port that your MBus reading software can use.
Downloads
The Windows and Mac drivers are available from the CMa30 Drivers page on the Elvaco support site.
Steps
- Download the driver for your computer from the Elvaco page and unzip it
- Start the installation guide and follow the instructions
- Connect the CMa30 to a USB port on the computer
- On Windows, open Device Manager (press the Windows key and R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter) and expand Ports (COM and LPT)
- Find Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge and note the COM port number it has been given, as you will need to select it in your MBus software
If the CMa30 does not appear in Device Manager, unplug it, reinstall the drivers and try again. For more help see Troubleshooting.
