The green PWR LED is off
Check that the CMa30 is plugged into a USB port that is working. Try a different port or cable.
The PWR LED is on but the unit does not work
- On Windows, check that the drivers are installed, see Installing Drivers
- Open Device Manager (press the Windows key and R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter) and expand Ports (COM and LPT)
- Look for Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge and note its COM port. To be sure it is the CMa30, unplug the USB cable and see which entry disappears, then plug it back in
- If it does not appear, install or reinstall the drivers
The unit works but no slaves are found
- Start a scan and check that the yellow TX LED flashes. If it does, the correct COM port is selected
- Check the scan is using the correct baud rate for the meters
- A flashing red ERR LED means a bus error
- A solid red ERR LED means a short circuit or an overload, for example too many meters on the bus
